Community Manager

Hi! I’m Sophie, and I’m a mad keen lover of all things data.

I’ve been working with data communities since 2014 when I joined the Tableau Public team, and I’ve never looked back. Fast forward to today and data has become increasingly ingrained in our daily lives. Building a data culture and community has never been more essential.

As the Community Manager at the Information Lab, I build, grow, and manage our online community, helping all our data enthusiasts on their data journeys.

My role involves understanding the needs of our community and finding ways to support them. My daily tasks range from answering questions from our community members to organizing and creating online trainings, tips, and tutorials. I’m constantly learning and love finding new ways to help people get to grips with their data.

Getting Outdoors

I’m one of those crazy Australian expats who actually likes the rain.

I agree with Wainwright when he said, “there's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing.” Come rain, hail or shine, I’ve hiked trails across 5 continents. Since having kids my hikes have taken me to slightly tamer places—but there’s something special about sharing great views (like this one) with my kids.
