Data School Coach

While working as a fashion designer, I started learning to code as I was looking for a more efficient way to augment my patterns. From there, I joined the Data school as part of cohort 15 before becoming a member of the core consulting team. I have a love for teaching that stems from over 10 years as a private tutor in Maths, Science and English so it was a natural decision to then become a Data School Coach.

With degrees in Architecture and Economics, and Diplomas in Civil Engineering and Bespoke Tailoring, I've enjoyed taking on new disciplines every 3 or 4 years.  As a Coach, I aim to help students to become effective consultants by being able to adapt, learn and quickly add value in new situations.

An important part of my day-to-day work as a coach is to ensure our consultants can effectively manage projects, communicate professionally and effectively with clients, and develop robust systems of working confidently and professionally across a changing professional landscape.

Engineered Design

An engineer at heart, I'm happiest with a pencil, straight edge and some sort of blade- whether it's drafting and cutting clothing for women and children or paper engineering by way of Kirigami or abstract pop-up.

Although all of my spare time is currently taken up with my little son, I still harbour ambitions of making a pop-up book of illustrated poetry one day.
