My introduction to the world of data came via sports analytics and a placement year at a sports data company during my degree from Loughborough University left me eager to learn more. I began that learning journey at The Information Lab as a member of the fourth Data School cohort. As a Data School consultant I honed my expertise in Tableau and Alteryx, leveraging these platforms at a range of companies across industries from maritime to fast-moving consumer goods. Upon transitioning to the Core Consulting team I immersed myself in a broader spectrum of challenges including shorter-term engagements, provision of technical support, and imparting training to both external clients and budding consultants.
In recent years I have swapped dashboard and workflow building for the intricacies of server and infrastructure management. Now, in the role of Solutions Engineer, my daily responsibilities revolve around the technical aspects of our managed services and hosting offerings. While ensuring great customer experience is paramount, I also enjoy uncovering efficiencies through scripting, automation, and infrastructure as code.
