Lorna Brown

Data School Coach

I began my data journey while pursuing my Sports Biomechanics master's degree in 2014. As someone who loves sports and data, I joined the second cohort of The Data School UK in 2015.

After completing The Data School, I had the opportunity to speak at various Tableau Conferences, where I participated in Tableau Speed Tipping. During my time away from The Information Lab, I worked on Estate Agent Analytics and Higher Education Analytics. In 2020, I rejoined The Information Lab's Core Team.

I am actively involved in different community initiatives. I co-lead the Workout Wednesday initiative with several others and also co-lead the North West UK Tableau User Group. Additionally, I authored the book "Tableau Desktop Cookbook" in 2021. I am proud to be recognised as one of Tableau Visionaries and Tableau Public Ambassadors.

Warrington Wolves Rugby League

Outside of work, I am a big Rugby League fan and support my home town team, Warrington Wolves, at all home and away games. It was through watching rugby that I met my husband, and now we enjoy this hobby together.

I am also actively involved in volunteering for the Warrington Wolves foundation. In particular, I am the video analyst for the Warrington Wolves Wheelchair team, which my husband plays for. As you can see, our lives are quite dedicated to supporting and watching Warrington in all its forms.
