Support Desk Manager

I manage and maintain part of The Information Lab's support services - our very own Support Desk for customers and clients. My speciality is decoding errors, solving mysteries, and putting out fires (or knowing who can).

Jack of all trades and working on Master of as many as I can, I form the first line of support when you're running into technical challenges with both Alteryx and Tableau. This has lead to working closely with both Tableau and Alteryx's own support services. I aim to create an efficient and effective support experience for both those who come to us for help as well as my colleagues who work on the Support Desk with me.

The Support Desk at TIL brings my journey of generic life experience full circle! I always knew I was good with numbers so I went and got a BSc in Mathematics but didn't feel drawn to anything so moved on to do a MSc in Computer Science too. Still feeling a little lost I combined these together and went into the IT support sector where I stumbled onto the area of data analytics and was fortunate enough to discover The Information Lab and the way more interesting world of data visualisation. This all culminates in the ultimate math-computer science-support services combo of the TIL Support Desk.
