Chris Love

Account Manager

My data career began in 2003, starting with SAS and SQL. I was then asked to evaluate an early version of Alteryx, a tool I've embraced ever since. This technology enabled me to become known for problem-solving. As an analyst at a Global Information Services provider, I helped create numerous complex data solutions for various industries. Later, as a Development Team Lead, I managed three groups of data analysts who were all using Alteryx. My technical expertise and training skills were invaluable, as I led the team, suggesting innovative methods to reduce development costs.

A significant highlight of my career was the Alteryx Inspire Conference in 2013. Competing against nine other Alteryx super-users in the Alteryx "Grand-Prix", I solved three business problems in record time and became the first Grand Prix winner outside the USA.

When Alteryx added Tableau to its growing list of Technology Partners, I quickly realized they were a perfect combination. I promptly added Tableau to my skill set, which allowed me to express my creativity without having to compromise when presenting my analysis results. Working as a Consultant at The Information Lab, I became a Tableau Zen Master (now Tableau Visionary) and won a second Alteryx Grand Prix. I was also recognized as an Alteryx ACE.

In 2015, I ventured into the unfamiliar territory of account management, hoping to leverage my experience to help customers make successful license purchases. Since then, I've developed specialties in Rail and Transport, Public Sector, and Banking.

When time permits, I enjoy venturing out with my camera. I am a passionate photographer who has sold work internationally and displayed in exhibitions and competitions. I recently joined the Nottingham and Notts Photographic Society and, despite most members being retired, I found myself serving as President. This role involves representing the club at events across the UK and conducting local meetings in Nottingham.

While I'm not the best in the club, I relish the opportunity to learn from others and guest speakers. I also strive to apply professional skills to this hobby by fostering enablement, coaching, and mentoring. This approach is a fundamental part of my Presidency.
